SextPanther Taxes
Written by Sophia Brecht Published Last updated
SextPanther taxes start with a W-9. US models must have a valid one on file before SextPanther sends any payout, and it is used to issue a 1099-NEC, which for tax year 2025 came from RedEx Media LLC. For creators outside the US, SextPanther publishes no W-8BEN process at all. This is general information, checked on 30 September 2026, and not tax advice.
Do you need a W-9 before SextPanther pays you?
Yes, if you are a US model. The creator FAQ says “Payments will not be sent out to any models without a valid W9 on file”, so a missing form stops your first payout.
The account setup guide describes the tax step for “a US citizen or international model with a US tax identification number (SSN or EIN)”. SextPanther does not say how long earnings wait for a missing form, so file it during setup. Payouts run on two periods a month, the 1st to the 15th and the 16th to month end, with money sent 3 to 5 days after each period closes and a $50 minimum that rolls over if you fall short. The full schedule is in our SextPanther payouts guide.
Who sends the SextPanther 1099?
For tax year 2025 the form came from RedEx Media LLC. SextPanther’s January 2026 newsletter told models to look for an email with the subject line “1099-NEC from RedEx Media LLC.”
The name surprises people because it is not the company in the Terms of Service. The Terms, last updated 3 August 2026, say SextPanther.com is owned and operated by Notte Media LLC, a Delaware company. RedEx Media, LLC is an Arizona company that holds the SEXTPANTHER trademark at the US Patent and Trademark Office. SextPanther does not publish how the two relate. For your records, the point is that a 1099 from RedEx Media LLC is the one SextPanther told models to expect, so check an unfamiliar sender before deleting it. The company background is in is SextPanther legit.
Can SextPanther pay your business instead of you?
Yes. SextPanther says it can pay a business account by direct deposit or check “as long as we have a valid W9 on file that matches the payable name.”
The word that matters is “matches”. If the W-9 carries your company’s name, the bank account or the check has to carry that same name. Whether running your income through a company suits you is a question for your accountant, and neither we nor SextPanther can answer it for you.
What about SextPanther taxes for models outside the US?
SextPanther accepts creators from Canada, the UK and the EU, but it publishes no tax process for them. We found no W-8BEN instructions on any creator page we read.
| Where you are | What SextPanther publishes | What it does not publish |
|---|---|---|
| US citizen | W-9 required before payout; 1099-NEC issued (by RedEx Media LLC for 2025) | Whether the form counts earnings by pay date or by earning date |
| Paid as a business | Allowed with a W-9 matching the payable name | Which entity types it accepts |
| Non-US with a US SSN or EIN | Covered by the account setup steps | Anything past those steps |
| Canadian citizen | Paid by physical check only; checks to Canada usually take two to three weeks | Any Canadian tax form or process |
| UK or EU | The Terms name Notte Media B.V., Amsterdam, as handling EU and UK payments | The payout method and any tax form |
| Any non-US model | Nothing | A W-8BEN or equivalent process |
If you live outside the US, ask SextPanther support in writing, before your first payout, which form it needs from you and which company will pay you. Keep the reply. Country eligibility is covered in SextPanther requirements.
What records should you keep for SextPanther taxes?
Keep every payout statement, a copy of your W-9, the 1099 email and notes on any refunds or chargebacks. SextPanther’s paperwork shows what it paid you and nothing about your costs.
Some SextPanther details affect those records. Money earned in the last days of December arrives in January, because the second pay period ends on the last day of the month and the transfer follows 3 to 5 days later; ask your accountant which year it belongs to. Negative adjustments happen, most often after a refund for an unanswered message or a call that did not work. Chargeback Protection covers up to $2,500 USD a month per model account for messages, calls and content unlocks. Payouts carry no fees, so what reaches your bank matches what SextPanther sent.
Does an agency fee change what SextPanther reports?
No. SextPanther pays you directly and its form reflects what it paid you. An agency fee is a separate invoice between you and the agency.
We work that way too: the platform pays the creator, and we invoice our commission afterwards. Our published range is 30%–60% of revenue, scaled to scope and agreed in writing, with no upfront fees. On SextPanther the scope is narrower because we never touch the account, and the exact rate for it is set in writing before you sign, as our pricing page explains. File our invoices with your tax records and ask your accountant how to treat them.
Who should you ask about your own tax position?
A licensed tax professional in the country where you pay tax. Nothing on this page is tax advice, and SextPanther’s creator pages do not give any either.
Bring the W-9, the 1099 email, your payout statements and any agency invoices to that meeting. If you are outside the US, bring SextPanther’s written answer about forms as well, since that is the one document the platform has not published for you.
